About Us

Pond and Lake Services was established in the fall of 2022 by Robby Mays.  He previously spent nearly 20 years working at and later becoming a partner in a large fish hatchery and pond management company.  He has advanced degrees in Fisheries Management and Aquaculture from Auburn University and has experience with spawning, rearing, feed-training, harvesting, and transporting a variety of warm-water fish species.  He has managed and electrofished lakes both large and small throughout the southeastern United States and is certified as an aquatic herbicide applicator in multiple states.

Our mission is to help our clients achieve their fisheries goals by developing and implementing sound fisheries management programs based on well-collected data and thoughtful analysis.  Our comprehensive assessment and management plans take into account all aspects of managing a fish population and their environment including species assemblage, forage availability, genetics, water quality, aquatic vegetation composition and density, and habitat.  We strive to provide top quality and timely services to our customers to produce the best possible results.
